In progressive fashion, FnA has recently stepped up and recruited some of the best known UT3 players. This move creates an even more stacked roster that will further solidify our spot amongst the top teams in UT3, as well as being referred to as housing most of the top duelers in the game. The idea of creating a team based around all top players, should make everyone on the team play at a level they're capable of more often, because of the increased competition, and create the best players in the game. As well as having crazy talent, each and every new member has the same charismatic qualities FnA tries to omit to the community. Watch out for these guys, and welcome them to the team!
boots, a very well known top UT3 US PC dueler, was the first recruit to join the team. It is nearly impossible to find a PC UT3 message board and not find boots being mentioned and known as the sickest US player on the game. He has placed in first in three local tournaments in his area and one large online tournament, FGLeague.com 1v1, racking in some cash. I came into contact with boots, and when he made the switch over to 360, he asked to join up with FnA. On his first week with a controller, he had taken his PC experience and knowledge, and was consistently beating well known top UT3 360 players. Recently, he has more refined his shot, and using that along with his smarts, look for him to be one of the best players in the game and dominate the 360 scene like he did on PC. He placed 2nd behind the strong Terry15 from Type Z in the recent ebash 1v1 tournament for 360. It's scary to think how good boots will get when he gets the shot he had on PC. You can see boots POV from his time on PC at the following links: boots - deck pt. 1 boots - deck pt. 2 boots - shangrila pt. 1 boots - shangrila pt. 2
Ric0, the next talent to join up with the team, was noticed for his very solid fundamental game play on 360. Later I found out Ricochet is from PC and has played UT99 competitively since it's release, and happens to be a hell of a player on it. He adds a very determined style to the squad, and plays with a serious tempo to his game. Ric0 will make this team very strong and everyone on the team better. Look out for Ric0 nowadays, he's got his bearings down on 360 and is becoming a very smart, nasty player. He placed 3rd in the recent ebash 1v1 tournament and repped FnA well.
RemY, the 16 year old prodigy, joined the team along with Ric0. He was relatively unknown throughout the community early on in the game, from talking with other top players, but his known status at that time shouldn't fool anyone. RemY might possibly be the best player in the game at this point, and being on this team, will only get better. He is an extremely solid dueler, knows the game inside out, plays very smart and quickly, and of course has a great humble attitude. I've witnessed blowouts on top duelers, and scores that just don't happen against those types of players. RemY is sure to open even more eyes after playing with everyone more often.
Please welcome boots, Ric0 and RemY to the squad. Add their tags: boots is Fn A, Ric0 is Fn A and RemY is Fn A

so, i took it upon myself to go into irc and ask around for a beta invite since i found out that if you are playing the beta, you can send out invites to your friends. so yesterday I got one, and im fucking stoked.
first thing, it's vq3. it feels very floaty, but that might be because im very used to cpm for the last 2 years. the good news, it is exactly q3. the user interface is all in the browser, meaning you can see all your options, screen, friends list, stats, all on one internet page. you can choose if you want full screen (better fps) or if you want to play in the broswer view.
some noticeable things, first would be that its box set quake 3 in so many different ways. i first missed all the maps/mods/customization that im so used to having. it's still also very new, and they update the beta very constantly. right now, the site is down for construction and i dont doubt it will be up later tonight. its very user friendly, as far as joining games, but still very easy to access any and every option you want.
-the timer counts down rather then up. strange change... -the ads in-game arnt very noticable but you will see them. -since it is a broswer based game it has some lag issues, so if you have a good comp and good internet, expect good results. -you still need to install a plugin from whatever computer you at, which is easy and fast. -some of the weapons feel different, some buffed up and some spread out more like the plasma gun -there is no gore, you just explode into dust
i'll think of some more, but i'm still very new to this beta. i'm having trouble getting online to play actual people but i don't doubt this fix will fix my issue.
I took a bunch of screens so enjoy!

I'm not sure how many of you know about this site but it's a very informative place that does podcasts about the console gaming industry. It's been going for a while now and in their shows they attack a lot of great points about gaming today. Recently I've had the privilege of being interviewed by Vapor of GC about UT3.
